A List of the Officers of the British Army to August 1755

This book contains the British Army Officer List as of August 1755, the period just before the Seven Years' War began. It lists the following: general and field officers, cavalry and infantry regiments on both the British and Irish Establishments, the Marine Forces, the Royal Regiment of Artillery, garrisons, independent companies, and officers on half-pay. Included with these lists are appendices that give context to this turbulent era such as a chronology of events and the political state of Europe.
