Over There with Private Graham Book Description
A detailed account of the day to day life of an American Doughboy in the first world conflict beginning with the events that drew America into the war in 1917, his enlistment, training, the boat ride across the Atlantic to England and then to France, the post war occupation of Germany and his return home. The record of his service in France, Belgium and Germany were kept in the field as the events unfolded around him. This gives the reader a unique look at the war and the activities of the American fighting men as seen and experienced by a common soldier "doing his bit" for his country. His day to day activities are so detailed that his journal reads almost like a novel. There are around 400 photographs from the WW1 historical collection of Bruce Jarvis that gives the reader an actual look at some of the events and experiences that this soldier writes about. Many of these photos are never before published.
