Description
Rhonda Jackson has been assigned the Riverside Bombing case. Several sticks of dynamite were placed at the door of the New Liberty abortion counseling service, and the building was severely damaged in the blast. Weeks later, there is another bombing in Granite City, 100 miles away. RJ is instructed by Chief Soderling to drive north and liaise with Mark Bowman of the Granite City PD. Cheryl Arnold, a high school junior, finds herself pregnant following a prom night accident. She seeks the advice of Nancy Wilson, a local lawyer who helped Cheryl' s mother file a restraining order against her abusive husband. Following his New Liberty mission, God's Warrior carries out another bombing in Granite City and a third in Hartford. A watchman and a physician are killed. Reverend Samuel Clark, who serves as mentor to God's Warrior, urges even greater action, and as a result, Cheryl is kidnapped in order to prevent her abortion. RJ and Mark follow the leads, and in the process, become attracted to one another. In the final pages, RJ uses solid police work and her intuition to locate God's Warrior and rescue Cheryl.
