Summary
Storm in the Land of Rain chronicles Silvia Foti's journey to fulfill her mother's dying wish to promote her grandfather Jonas Noreika's legacy as a Lithuanian war hero. However, Foti's research uncovers a devastating truth: her grandfather was actually complicit in the Holocaust, responsible for the deaths of thousands of Jews during World War II. The memoir explores her struggle between family loyalty and historical truth as she grapples with this painful discovery about her family's past and her grandfather's role in one of history's darkest chapters.
